Job summary

HSBC Global Service Center in Mexico City is seeking a Cash Equities Software Engineer with strong Java skills to design, implement and deploy enhancements to our electronic trading platform. You will work on a highly automated workflow in a containerized environment and collaborate with teams across time zones.

The role emphasizes optimization, automation, and data-driven tuning, with familiarity in OMS or low-latency apps a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with low-latency or real-time systems.
• Excellent Java proficiency, including concurrency, tuning, and memory management.
• Experience with container runtimes (Podman, Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Kafka and Aeron.
• Good command of Linux/UNIX command line.
