Job summary

TP ICAP Group is seeking a hands-on Back-End Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance server-side applications and APIs for data-intensive trading environments. You will work with Architects, Principal Engineers, and Trading SMEs to deliver mission-critical systems end-to-end.

The role emphasizes low-latency, distributed, cloud-native solutions, with strong emphasis on observability, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of hands-on experience building and supporting latency-sensitive front-office trading systems.
• Expertise in modern .NET technologies and C#.
• Experience with observability (metrics, tracing, logging) for distributed systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Knowledge of distributed messaging and caching (Solace, Redis).
• Strong background in designing and maintaining distributed, event-driven, cloud-native applications.
• Strong understanding of low-latency engineering, concurrency, multithreading, and performance optimisation.
• Strong relational database design and optimisation skills (MSSQL, MySQL).
• Experience building automated testing frameworks for complex distributed systems.
• Ability to engage with traders, quants, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust server-side applications and APIs for high-volume data environments.
• Collaborate with Architects, Principal Engineers, and Trading SMEs to deliver end-to-end systems.
• Contribute to engineering deliverables across full lifecycle with performance and scalability focus.
• Drive innovation through POCs and continuous improvement.
• Communicate progress, mitigate risks, and remove delivery impediments.
