Job summary

The United Nations World Food Programme Philippines is seeking a Logistics Officer (Preparedness) to lead planning, development of hub operations, and coordination with government partners to strengthen disaster readiness.

The role focuses on establishing national humanitarian response hubs, SOPs, and multi-agency coordination, with a strong emphasis on warehouse management, data analysis, and capacity building for effective emergency logistics.

Qualifications

• Experience in humanitarian logistics, supply chain management, or emergency preparedness.
• Experience with UN agencies or government partners is highly desirable.
• Warehouse operations, logistics systems, and data analysis experience.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and support capacity-strengthening.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and establishment of National Humanitarian Response Hubs.
• Develop SOPs, processes, and governance for depot operations.
• Coordinate with government counterparts and donors on logistics activities.
• Strengthen readiness through simulations, training, and capacity building.
