Job summary

V2X is seeking a mailroom/logistics clerk to oversee movement, sorting, and distribution of mail for LOGCAP in the Philippines. The role requires handling secure mail and performing detailed accounting duties with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, verifying manifests, sorting mail by unit, and preparing outgoing mail documents. The position emphasizes security, accuracy, and adherence to postal procedures, with potential x-ray screening when available.

Qualifications

• One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have Philippines valid driver’s license.
• Must be a Filipino Citizen.
• Must understand/communicate in a high level of English.
• Experience: Military postal, USPS training, commercial cargo shipping, parcel handling/warehousing, and/or mail room distribution training are preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must know postal procedures and techniques used by postal personnel in operation of Army and base post offices.
• Must be able to organize, control, coordinate, and supervise technical operations of postal unit.
• Must be able to instigate work simplification methods.
• Must be able to perform supervision of customs inspections conducted by custom agencies.
• Working Conditions: outdoor with exposure to climate; PPE required.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard all mail and maintain high security of the postal facility.
• Loads/unloads mail trucks and verifies incoming mail manifest.
• Prepare outgoing mail manifest and separate accountable mail.
• Randomly X-ray mailbags and suspicious mail when equipment is available.
• Open worker mailbags, sort mail, and ensure proper processing.
• Conduct mail call and provide customer assistance to unit mail clerks.
• Distribute incoming mail to unit clerks and secure custody; redirect mis-sent mail.
• Wrap damaged mail and endorse unopened mail.
• Use SPRINT/CAMALS charts to forward mail.
• Perform Postal Supply functions: stocks, inventory, ordering, receiving.
• Operate Retail System Software to provide postal services.
• Provide customer services for postal options.
• Inspect parcels for hazardous items per military requirements.
• Maintain security and log weight/dispatch data for mail.
• Dispatch mail to APO camps, JMMT, or MCA personnel; record daily totals.
• Staging and securing mail vehicles; maintain seals.
• Load outgoing mail on pallets and shipping cages; prepare manifests.
• Perform duties assigned by company and support safety roles.
