Job summary

BPI DIRECT BANKO,INC. A SAVINGS BANK in the Philippines seeks a Loan Associate to help originate loans and maintain a healthy loan portfolio through strong relationship management and field activity.

The role involves identifying loan opportunities, gathering and validating documentation, evaluating funding structures, and monitoring accounts to ensure portfolio quality under the Financial Inclusion and Microfinance Solutions Group.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a 4-year degree course, preferably in business-related disciplines (Finance / Management / Economics, etc).
• Previous sales experience is needed but fresh graduates with good sales acumen may apply
• Familiarity with the branch community (main markets, target segment, local network).
• Willing to do field work (95% of the time).

Responsibilities

• Implements identified marketing strategies geared towards the achievement of loan origination target.
• Gathers, assesses and validates loan documentary requirements and salient business information for credit evaluation/review and decision.
• Assesses the most appropriate funding structure and utilization suitable to the clients' needs.
• Implements pro-active account monitoring and servicing activities to maintain loan portfolio quality.
• Provides inputs for improvement of existing lending policies and guidelines.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by the supervising Business Manager of the Financial Inclusion and Microfinance Solutions Group.

Job description

The Loan Associate is responsible in the achievement of loan origination target and maintenance of good loan portfolio quality of the originated loans. Also responsible in relationship management/account servicing to help ensure maintenance of good loan portfolio quality.

1. Identifies, solicits and maintains desirable loan accounts in the assigned area of responsibility.

2. Implements identified marketing strategies geared towards the achievement of loan origination target.

3. Gathers, assesses and validates loan documentary requirements and salient business information on a first hand/personalized basis both on operational and financial aspects necessary as basis for credit evaluation/review and decision.

4. Assesses the most appropriate funding structure and utilization suitable to the clients based on the business' present needs.

5. Implements pro-active account monitoring and servicing activities to help ensure maintenance of good loan portfolio quality.

6. Provides inputs for the improvement of existing policies and guidelines of the lending operation

7. Performs other tasks as may be assigned by the supervising Business Manager of the Financial Inclusion and Microfinance Solutions Group.
