Lodgify, a fast-growing vacation rental platform, seeks an AI Engineer specializing in LLMs to build and ship production-grade AI features from prototype to production. You will own features end-to-end, run evaluations, and tackle challenges like hallucinations and latency with responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, machine learning, or applied AI with a track record of delivering features to completion.
• Experience taking AI/LLM-powered features from concept through deployment and maintenance.
• Familiarity with automated testing strategies for non-deterministic systems and debugging ambiguous model behavior.
• Working understanding of prompt engineering, prompt lifecycle management, RAG architectures and retrieval evaluation.
• Experience using data analytics techniques (SQL, analysis, visualization) to guide product decisions.
• A product mindset and genuine interest in customer needs to build the right solutions.
• Ability to drive work to completion independently and know when to seek guidance on ambiguity.
• Clear communication of trade-offs, risks, and system performance, including AI uncertainty.

Responsibilities

• Build, evaluate, and ship LLM-powered features (chatbots, copilots, agents, internal tools).
• Run and extend LLM evaluations using gold-standard datasets and benchmarks.
• Diagnose and resolve AI system failure modes including hallucinations and retrieval issues.
• Apply advanced prompt engineering and lifecycle practices.
• Consider latency, cost, and reliability in implementation choices.
• Collaborate with engineers, product, data, and design to deliver the right solutions.
• Follow responsible AI practices including safety, PII handling, and observability.
