Job summary

Maxima is seeking a Deployment Engineer to bring customers live, working alongside Account Executives through complex deal cycles. You will run proofs of concept, then build integrations to transaction systems and custom modules to launch for each client.

You will tune prompts/models to achieve desired AI performance, collaborate with product/engineering, and ensure reliable production deployments. This is an on-site role based in San Mateo, with a startup pace and in-person collaboration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in forward deployed engineering, sales engineering, implementation engineering, or solutions engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline; computer science preferred but not required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and comfort working directly with customers.
• Proficiency in languages such as Go, TypeScript, or Python.
• Experience working with Account Executives on technical sales processes for enterprise customers.
• Proactive, highly motivated, and able to handle the intensity and pace of a startup.

Responsibilities

• Work with Account Executives on complex deal cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
• Run technical proof-of-concept processes and present tailored demos based on customer and business needs.
• Lead technical discovery calls and write the implementation scoping document for each customer that launches with Maxima.
• Tune prompts and models to get the right AI performance for each client.
• Build integrations to transaction systems such as revenue, billing, and accounts payable, and the custom modules customers need to go live.
• Partner with product and engineering to deliver on customer requests and advocate for customer needs.
• Troubleshoot, debug, fix, and upgrade software for reliable performance in production, and support deployed solutions over time.
