Job summary

NCR Voyix Corporation is seeking a motivated IT Support professional to join our global team in Cebu City. You will respond to inquiries, troubleshoot Linux and Windows servers, and assist customers with deployment and onboarding while ensuring high reliability and a positive experience.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of IT support experience, solid Linux basics, and basic networking knowledge. You’ll work with modern tools and collaborate to meet service targets.

Qualifications

• 1 year of IT support or a similar technical role.
• Hands-on experience with Linux.
• Basic networking concepts (LAN/WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, firewalls).
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer questions via email, phone, and online chat.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and elevate complex cases to the wider Support team when needed.
• Monitor customer software, servers, and infrastructure to identify and resolve issues.
• Support Linux and Windows server environments.
• Assist customers and partners with software deployment and setup.
• Complete scheduled IT maintenance and support activities.
• Keep clear records of customer issues and help identify recurring problems.
• Support new team members with laptop setup, account creation, and basic IT onboarding.
• Learn about new products and technologies and help customers get the most out of them.
• Help the team meet service targets while delivering a positive customer experience.

As part of our Technical Support team, you’ll help keep our customers’ systems running smoothly while providing friendly and reliable support.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need to be an expert in everything listed below. We’re looking for someone with a good IT foundation, a willingness to learn, and a passion for solving problems.

Ideally, you’ll have:

• At least 1 year of experience in IT support or a similar technical role.


• Hands-on experience or a good working knowledge of Linux.


• Basic understanding of networking concepts such as LAN/WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and firewalls.


• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.


• Good written and verbal English communication skills.


• Confidence working with customers and explaining technical issues clearly.


• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies.

Good to have skills:

Experience with any of the following would be a bonus:

• Windows Server


• Monitoring tools such as Nagios, CheckMK, Prometheus, or Grafana


• Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP


• Docker or Kubernetes


• Shell scripting, Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar


• CouchDB


• Storage and file systems such as ZFS, DRBD, RAID, LVM, btrfs, or CEPH


• Security-sensitive environments


• AI or machine learning technologies
