Job summary

GECO Philippines is seeking a seasoned Linux Architect to design, implement, and manage enterprise Linux environments across the Asia region. You will lead platform strategy, automate with IaC, and ensure security and reliability in hybrid deployments.

The role requires 10+ years in infrastructure with 7+ in Linux, strong cloud experience (Azure/AWS), and expert automation skills. Hybrid setup: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote, cross-functional collaboration across Cloud, Network and Security teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in infrastructure engineering with 7+ years in Linux architecture.
• RHCE certification preferred.
• Strong experience with RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS.
• Hands-on with automation and IaC tools.
• Experience with Azure and AWS.
• Scripting skills in Shell, Python, or Perl.
• Familiarity with AD/Azure AD and LDAP.
• Experience with virtualization (KVM/QEMU).
• Knowledge of monitoring and backup tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting and stakeholder management.

We’re Hiring: Linux Architect

We are looking for an experienced Linux Architect to join our Infrastructure Shared Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing enterprise Linux environments across the Asia region. You will serve as the technical authority for Linux infrastructure, driving automation, cloud integration, platform stability, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with automation tools such asAnsible, Terraform, Puppet, or Chef.
• Experience with scripting usingShell, Python, or Perl.
• Strong knowledge ofMicrosoft Azure and/orAWS cloud platforms.
• Experience with Linux virtualization technologies (KVM/QEMU).
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such asZabbix, Nagios, Prometheus, SolarWinds, or Icinga.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Azure AD, LDAP, Kerberos, VMware, Docker, and ITIL practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
