Job summary

AboitizPower is hiring a Lineman II in Tagum City, Philippines, to support continuous and reliable power supply for customers. You will perform safe line work, respond to emergencies, and help maintain distribution networks under ISO-aligned systems.

As part of the team, you will work with the North Davao Engineering Operations Department to deliver results, develop skills, and contribute to sustainable energy delivery in a purpose-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Electrical or Technical related courses.
• Entry-level (no prior professional experience required).
• Basic Awareness on IMS (Level 2).
• Electrical Safety (Level 1).
• Hazardous Chemical/ Materials Handling (Level 1).
• Basic Awareness on Asset Management System (AMS) (Level 1).

Responsibilities

• Perform safe installations, removals, and replacements of line hardware per APDU standards.
• Conduct emergency repairs, troubleshooting, and power restorations on lines, meters, and transformer cut-outs.
• Execute splicing, terminations, and both dead-line and live-line works on energized lines up to 69kV.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as bucket trucks, tensioners, and scanning devices.
• Plan resources and ensure compliance with IMS, AMS, and other management systems.

As Lineman II, you will meet or exceed the sections targets and metrics by timely completing work order tasks in accordance with company standards and safety policies in order to deliver continuous and reliable power supply to customers and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with the North Davao Engineering Operations Department to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Perform safe installations, removals, and replacements of overhead, underground, and sub-transmission line hardware and equipment conforming to APDU standards.
• Conduct emergency repairs, troubleshooting, and power restorations on broken primary and secondary lines, meters, and transformer cut-outs.
• Execute splicing, terminations, and both dead-line and live-line works on energized overhead and underground lines up to 69kV under safe implementation procedures.
• Operate and maintain specialized distribution line equipment such as bucket trucks, tensioners, and thermal or UV scanning devices.
• Facilitate regular administrative tasks, planning of resources, and ensure strict compliance with ISO IMS, AMS, and other implemented management systems.

To Succeed in this Role, we need someone who:

• Demonstrates proficiency in Distribution Line Construction and Maintenance, including constructing, activating, and maintaining distribution lines in a safe manner (Level 3).
• Has strong skills in Transmission Line Construction and Maintenance conforming to industry-accepted and company line standards (Level 3).
• Possesses capability in Heavy Equipment Operations, including the driving and operation of boom trucks, manlifts, and articulated vehicles (Level 3).
• Is highly skilled in both 13.8kV / 23kV Live-Line Works and 69kV Live-Line Works under safe implementation standards (Level 3).

Education & Experience:

• Graduate of any Electrical or Technical related courses.
• Entry-level (no prior professional experience required).

Technical / Functional Skills:

• Basic Awareness on Integrated Management System (IMS) (Level 2).
• Electrical Safety (Level 1).
• Hazardous Chemical/ Materials Handling (Level 1).
• Basic Awareness on Asset Management System (AMS) (Level 1).
