Job summary

Swiss Re in Mumbai is seeking an Actuarial Analyst - L&H India at Associate level to join the pricing team. You will support pricing of new Life & Health business, develop models, and ensure governance of pricing guidelines.

The role collaborates with client markets, underwriting and claims, providing robust pricing solutions and insights into market developments. Strong technical skills in R, SAS or Python are essential, with 4–5 years in L&H pricing preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in R, SAS, Python or similar actuarial tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Minimum 7 actuarial exam credits and a relevant bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• New Business Quotes and Tenders: price and model new business and review quotes.
• Costing Methodology and Guidelines: apply pricing methodologies consistently and govern pricing.
• Strategy, Product Development and Brand Presence: contribute to pricing-related product development insights.
• Collaboration: work with senior actuaries and cross-functional teams across regions.
