• A Licensed Pharmacist is a healthcare professional responsible for dispensing prescription medications, providing medication therapy management, and ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals. Their role extends to advising patients and healthcare providers on medication use, potential side effects, and interactions.
• Dispensing Medications: Accurately prepare and dispense prescribed medications in accordance with legal and medical standards.
• Patient Counseling: Provide patients with information on the proper use of their medications, including dosage, side effects, and potential interactions with other drugs.
• Medication Therapy Management (MTM): Review patient medications to optimize therapeutic outcomes, monitor for drug interactions, and recommend adjustments to therapy.
