Job summary

SGS & Co is seeking a laboratory analyst responsible for performing analyses as defined in the Matrix of Laboratory Tests and reporting results according to the Quality Management System policies. The role includes preparing reagents, standardizing solutions, maintaining equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation.

The candidate will participate in proficiency programs, comply with QHSEE policies, and coach junior staff on test procedures while maintaining a safe and orderly lab environment.

Qualifications

• University/college degree in BS Chemistry, BS Biochemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering or Agrichemistry.
• Licensed Chemist or Chemical Technician.
• Open to fresh graduates.

Responsibilities

• Performs analyses and reports test results according to the Matrix of Laboratory Tests and the Quality Management System policies.
• Prepares reagents and test solutions and standardizes volumetric solutions.
• Operates and maintains laboratory equipment used in analyses.
• Coaches junior staff on test performance and sample preparation.
• Maintains documentation, including worksheets and log sheets, with accurate data.
