The Architectural Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all architectural works at the project site comply with approved plans, specifications, standards, and applicable codes. The role involves daily site inspections, documentation of progress and deficiencies, coordination with contractors and consultants, and providing technical support to ensure quality and timely completion of architectural activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily inspections of architectural works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, materials, and workmanship standards.
- Verify that construction activities meet company quality requirements and project specifications.
- Review and monitor architectural finishing works such as flooring, wall finishes, ceilings, doors and windows, waterproofing, and other architectural details.
- Report non-conformances and issue site inspection reports (SIRs) or non-compliance reports (NCRs) as necessary.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other inspectors to resolve design and construction issues.
- Check and verify materials delivered on site against approved material submittals.
- Ensure that corrective actions are properly implemented and verified before final acceptance.
- Assist in preparing inspection checklists, progress reports, and documentation for turnover.
- Monitor implementation of safety and housekeeping within architectural work areas.
- Participate in punch list and pre-handover inspections.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Licensed Architect (or equivalent) preferred.
- At least 1–3 years of relevant experience in architectural inspection or QA/QC at construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of architectural drawings, materials, methods, and finishes.
- Familiarity with local building codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and basic documentation tools.
