Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a Level 2 Technical Support specialist in the Philippines for remote work with shifting hours aligned to Australian business hours. You will handle written support tickets, troubleshoot IT and electronics, and assist with wiring and microcontroller issues.

During initial training, you will work 12:00 PM–8:00 PM Australian time for three months, then continue with online training and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT customer support or technical support.
• Strong knowledge of IT and electronics.
• Experience troubleshooting Microsoft Windows, USB devices, drivers, and software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 technical support for custom hardware and software systems through written tickets.
• Troubleshoot IT, electronics, USB, Windows, and software-related issues.
• Diagnose and resolve wiring, microcontroller, and basic electronic faults using appropriate tools.
• Support automotive electronics and electrical wiring troubleshooting.
• Develop technical user guides and installation manuals for hardware and software systems.
• Analyze complex technical issues, identify root causes, and provide effective solutions.
• Maintain clear and accurate communication with customers throughout the support process.
• Work from Thursday to Monday, with Tuesday and Wednesday as scheduled days off, following Australian business hours.
• During the initial 3-month training period, work Monday to Friday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM Australian time.

Your Role

• Support automotive electronics and electrical wiring troubleshooting.


• Develop technical user guides and installation manuals for hardware and software systems.


• Analyze complex technical issues, identify root causes, and provide effective solutions.


• Maintain clear and accurate communication with customers throughout the support process.


• Work from Thursday to Monday, with Tuesday and Wednesday as scheduled days off, following Australian business hours.


• During the initial 3-month training period, work Monday to Friday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM Australian time. Training will be provided in person by the L2 Manager, followed by online training and support as needed.

Non-negotiables

• Experience in IT customer support or technical support.


• Strong knowledge of both IT and electronics.


• Knowledge of wiring, soldering, and microcontrollers.


• Experience troubleshooting Microsoft Windows, USB devices, drivers, and software.


• Strong diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.


• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.


• Willingness to learn and undergo training on proprietary systems.

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Experience with automotive electronics and electrical wiring.


• Familiarity with Arduino, ARM microcontrollers, or similar electronics platforms.


• Understanding of electronic components, basic circuit design, voltage dividers, and resistor networks.


• Basic electronic fault finding using a multimeter.


• Experience writing technical user guides and installation manuals.


• Interest or experience in motorcycles, engine tuning, or related technical applications.
