Job summary

REED ELSEVIER SHARED SERVICES (PHILIPPINES) INC. seeks a Shepards Editor to interpret history and treatment relationships among citing and cited legal references, applying precise editing to ensure accuracy.

The editor will identify and verify case information, perform SUBLA, resolve duplicate cases, and communicate necessary Letter Editing Guidelines. A JD is required; no experience is needed, and candidates must be eager to learn enterprise AI tools in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Average reading, legal comprehension, analytical, quantitative and deductive reasoning skills.
• Must have excellent analysis and research skills.
• Must be committed to complete process training and certification.

Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret history and treatment relationships between citing and cited legal references.
• Identify case information when necessary and follow established case correction processes.
• Perform SUBLA (subsequent legal analysis) and resolve duplicate case situations.
• Possess intermediate knowledge of US laws and court systems; adapt to tools and technologies to support workflows.
• Maintain customer-centric mindset and report errors to ensure quality of online products.
