REED ELSEVIER SHARED SERVICES (PHILIPPINES) INC. is seeking a Shepards Editor responsible for accurately interpreting history and treatment relationships among legal references. You will verify case data, perform SUBLA analyses, and ensure precise edits while collaborating with a team.

Fresh JD graduates are welcome; a strong reading/comprehension ability and internet reliability are essential. The role supports enterprise AI tools, adapts to trainings, and includes a hybrid work setup in Cebu.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Juris Doctor or Law degree.
• No Experience Required - fresh JD graduates accepted.
• Legal practice and/or legal industry experience preferred, but not required.
• Average reading, legal comprehension, analytical, quantitative and deductive reasoning skills.
• Must have excellent analysis and research skills.
• Must be committed to complete process training and certification.
• Reliable internet connection (a minimum of 25 Mbps upload and download internet speed).
• Team player with openness to feedback and learning.
• Strong commitment to performance and team success.
• Ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools and technologies to support technical workflows and business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Interpret history and treatment relationships between citing and cited legal references and apply precise edits reflecting those relationships.
• Identify and verify case information when necessary and follow established case correction guidelines.
• Perform SUBLA (subsequent legal analysis).
• Resolve duplicate case situations and/or combined opinions.
• Possess intermediate knowledge of US laws and court systems or a strong willingness to gain knowledge.
• Be highly productive, a self-starter and a collaborative team player.
• Maintain effective communication via email, video call and chat.
• Be flexible to changes in trainings, shift schedules and deliverables.
• Ensure quality of online products by reporting errors and assisting in resolution.
