Job summary

Globe Telecom is seeking a Legal Counsel to provide comprehensive legal support, ensuring regulatory compliance and protecting the company’s interests. You will report to the Head of Legal and help manage legal risks while supporting business operations.

Key tasks include drafting and negotiating contracts, advising on terms and risks, training, and developing legal guidelines to strengthen compliance across departments.

Qualifications

• Highly skilled legal professional with a strong background in corporate law and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in providing legal advice and supporting business operations.

Responsibilities

• Support and assist the Head of Legal in assigned duties.
• Collaborate with other departments.
• Ensure the company’s compliance with applicable laws.
• Structure, draft, review and negotiate contracts/agreements.
• Provide strategic and practical advice on contract terms and risks.
• Render legal opinions.
• Monitor updates in legal landscape and implement changes.
• Develop and maintain legal guidelines, policies, trainings and standard form agreements.
• Conduct trainings on legal matters and business processes.
• Support KPIs of the legal department.
• Perform other legal services including regulatory compliance communications.

Job Description

The Legal Counsel will provide comprehensive legal support and advice to the company, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and protecting the company’s interests. This role requires a highly skilled legal professional with a strong background in corporate law and regulatory compliance. The Legal Counsel will report directly to the Head of Legal and will play a critical role in managing legal risks and supporting business operations.

• Support and assist the Head of Legal of the company in the performance of his/her assigned duties and responsibilities;
• Collaborate with members of other departments;
• Ensure the company’s compliance with all relevant laws;
• Structure, draft, review and negotiate contracts/agreements in order to align with the company’s objectives;
• Provide strategic and practical advice on contract terms and associated risks to the relevant business stakeholders;
• Render legal opinions;
• Monitor updates in relevant legal landscape in order to timely and effectively implement compliance changes;
• Assist in developing, maintaining and improving legal guidelines, policies, internal trainings and standard form agreements;
• Conducts trainings/orientation on legal matters and the business processes of the company;
• Supports the entire objectives and accomplishment of the legal department’s Key Performance Indicators;
• Perform other legal services in a timely manner, such as but not limited to compliance with regulatory requirements of government agencies, preparation of letters to government agencies and demand letters; and
• Exercise other functions and perform other tasks as may be assigned by the Head of Legal of the company.
