Job summary

Equinix Manila seeks a Lease Accountant to join the Leasing Operations team. You will handle accounting and administration of the company's global lease portfolio, requiring strong accounting skills, advanced Excel, and cross-functional collaboration.

This role supports lease accounting compliance, financial reporting, month-end close, and process improvements, reporting to the Lease Accounting Senior Manager. Optimally, 3+ years of experience, US GAAP knowledge, and ERP proficiency.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Accounting or Finance
• Knowledge of US GAAP or local accounting standards
• Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and ability to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with Hyperion Essbase, Oracle Cloud ERP, R12 or other ERP systems preferred
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

Responsibilities

• Account and review lease transactions under US GAAP (ASC 842) and IFRS
• Manage lease accounting activities in Lucernex, including setup, modifications, and journal entries
• Participate in month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Perform balance sheet and income statement flux analyses for lease-related accounts
• Support quarterly and annual financial reporting, including lease disclosures and control certifications
• Maintain and execute SOX controls related to lease accounting processes
• Partner with Real Estate, Finance and cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy
• Support audits with documentation, analyses and audit inquiries
• Prepare ad hoc reporting and analysis
• Participate in system enhancement projects
