Job summary

SYSTRA is seeking an experienced Traffic Engineer to lead surveys, analyze traffic data, and prepare technical reports for major public transport projects. The role requires 5–10 years in traffic engineering or transportation planning, with proficiency in VISSIM/SYNCHRO/HCS/SimTraffic and GIS.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to forecasting impacts of developments and recommendations for improving traffic flow. Strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in traffic engineering, transportation planning or related fields.
• Familiarity with traffic analysis software (VISSIM, SYNCHRO, HCS, SimTraffic) and traffic modeling.
• Strong knowledge of traffic flow theory, signalization design and roadway design.
• Experience with GIS and mapping software.
• Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct on-site transport/traffic surveys and data collection.
• Analyze and interpret data from statistics, surveys, and transport studies.
• Prepare written technical reports and executive summaries for projects.
• Collaborate with study/report/proposal teams and clients.
• Support forecasting of impacts from new developments and value engineering activities.
