Job summary

Think Pink Events, Inc. is seeking Lead Teachers to work with infant and toddler classes, plus some after-school activities for elementary students. You will nurture a child-led environment, encouraging consent, emotional support, and learning through play.

The role requires a college degree in Early Childhood Education or Psychology, with 1–2 years of experience around children. You will contribute to morning and afternoon classes, as well as events and weekend parties, in a lively kids’ café

Job description

About the role

We are looking for flexible Lead Teachers who will primarily work with our infant and toddler classes, as well as some after-school classes with elementary school-age children. You will help foster a child-led environment wherein children are embraced for the wonder and capabilities they already possess. This position is perfect for someone who understands that children are entitled to consent, seek support for their big feelings, and are valued for their mistakes and messes.

Key responsibilities
  • Prepare day-to-day lesson plans following an age-appropriate curriculum, including material setup and cleanup
  • Brainstorm new ideas in relation to curriculum, design, teaching, and learning
  • Lead classes in teaching children basic or specialized craft skills
  • Use classroom management tools and age-appropriate motivational activities to create a safe classroom culture responsive to children's interests and needs
  • Encourage group interactions and integration among children during classes
  • Facilitate routine procedures such as handwashing and greeting children upon arrival
  • Assess student performance and behavioral outcomes
  • Assist with the overall arrangement of morning and afternoon classes, as well as weekday and weekend parties or events
  • Initiate memorable, positive, play-led interactions with children during free play and non-class periods
  • Monitor children in the play area to ensure their safety and well-being
About you
  • Passionate about working with a high-energy, diverse group of children (including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary-age kids)
  • Brings a can-do attitude, a playful spirit, strong initiative, a solid work ethic, and a warm personality
  • Possesses strong improvisation and problem-solving skills for handling challenging situations in a highly collaborative environment
  • Adaptable to changes in children's learning and developmental needs
  • College graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in working with children (experience with children in a home setting is considered)
