Job summary

Adani Power Limited in Gondia, Maharashtra invites a Deputy Manager to lead Inplant Fuel Management for coal handling and CHP operations, ensuring safe, reliable power generation.

You will optimize fuel handling, monitor equipment, enforce PTW and IMS guidelines, drive digitalization, and coordinate with maintenance and other departments to sustain efficiency and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of coal handling operations experience.
• At least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Experience in power generation/energy sector preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain FIFO yard for coal handling.
• Conduct trials to ensure fire fighting and detection systems health.
• Oversee shift operations with control room monitoring to prevent generation loss.
• Perform housekeeping quality checks.
• Operate CHP equipment to meet load and efficiency targets.
• Optimize APC and BUF; tested interlocks and protection equipment.
• Monitor CHP pipes for integrity to prevent disruptions.
• Manage auto coal sampler for accurate coal quality assessments.
• Check defects, follow up work orders, and obtain maintenance permits.
• Monitor coal pile height and enforce yard guidelines.
• Implement IMS, AWMS, DISHA, CHETNA guidelines.
• Maintain Permit to Work (PTW) compliance during shifts.
• Support sustainability initiatives and resource optimization.
• Collaborate with departments to align sustainability goals.
• Introduce process improvements and digital tools for real-time monitoring and automation.
