Job summary

Exponent Controls and Electrical Corporation is seeking an on-site Health and Safety Officer to implement and monitor safety programs across our operations in the Philippines.

The role requires conducting regular inspections, risk assessments, and training sessions to uphold corporate standards and local regulations. You will investigate accidents, coordinate with government agencies, maintain safety records, and drive corrective actions while fostering a culture of proactive safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• SO2/SO3 certification is an advantage.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and training skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong observation skills.
• Ability to handle emergency situations.
• Willing to work on-site and conduct field inspections.
• With Standard First Aid Training.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor occupational health and safety programs.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and company standards.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and prepare reports.
• Conduct safety training, orientations, and toolbox meetings.
• Recommend corrective and preventive actions to minimize risks.
• Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Coordinate with government agencies for safety compliance and reporting.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness within the organization.
