Role Description

UST is seeking a highly driven, collaborative, and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Lead to define and drive QA strategies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and reliable software applications. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in QA processes, hands‑on testing expertise (especially in mobile applications), and excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with both business and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end QA efforts across mobile applications (iOS & Android)
• Define and implement test strategies, test plans, and QA best practices
• Drive test planning, test analysis, and execution activities
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders on test design and test case preparation
• Provide regular updates on testing progress, risks, and blockers
• Ensure adherence to the Definition of Done (DoD) across deliverables
• Manage and ensure readiness of test environments and test data
• Oversee and collaborate on defect management and resolution
• Participate in sprint demos/reviews, working with stakeholders to secure sign-offs
• Mentor and guide QA team members; review and improve test artifacts
• Promote continuous improvement in QA processes and overall product quality

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance
• At least 2+ years of experience leading QA teams
• Minimum 1 year of hands‑on experience in mobile application testing
• Strong hands‑on experience in mobile QA activities (actively executing tests)
• Preferably with experience in automation
• Solid experience in requirements analysis, validation, and software testing practices
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC/STLC
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills, with the ability to debug complex issues
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams
• Experience using JIRA and Confluence
• Willingness to work on a midshift schedule
