Job summary

OSM Thome invites experienced Documentation Purser to join a Mediterranean cruise vessel. You will manage guest and crew documentation, handle onboard financial tasks, and ensure accurate records while maintaining clear communication between ship, guests, and shore.

This contract at sea requires prior Purser or Chief Purser experience, strong attention to detail, and fluency in English; valid seagoing documentation and medicals are required.

Qualifications

• Experience as Purser or Chief Purser on passenger/cruise vessels.
• Strong knowledge of ship documentation and port/immigration procedures.
• Good understanding of onboard accounting and cash handling.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under time pressure.
• Valid seagoing documents and medical, as per international standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage all guest and crew documentation, records, and reports
• Handle shipboard finance, billing, and passenger accounts
• Prepare and control voyage, port, and immigration paperwork
• Coordinate with the Master, Hotel Manager, and shore offices
• Maintain accurate filing and secure storage of all documents
• Supervise purser/administration staff as required
