Ciena Corporation is seeking a Project Manager to lead packet and access network deployments across key customers in India. You will drive program delivery from planning through deployment, acceptance, and closure, coordinating engineering, field teams, and vendors to ensure on-time, quality outcomes.

In this role you will manage customer relationships, escalations, and governance reviews while tracking budgets, forecasts, and margins.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in delivery of packet/access network deployments (IP/MPLS/FTTx).
• Experience applying project delivery practices across planning to closure.
• Experience managing customer-facing telecom programs with stakeholder engagement.
• Coordination across engineering, field deployment, supply chain, and vendors.
• Experience with project financial management: budgeting, revenue forecasting, margin management.
• Experience with risk identification, root cause analysis, corrective actions.
• Background in field rollout: site readiness, installation, commissioning, network integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of packet/access network projects across IP/MPLS, aggregation, access, and FTTx environments.
• Drive project execution from planning through deployment, acceptance, and closure.
• Manage customer relationships, escalations, change requests, governance reviews, and milestone updates.
• Coordinate engineering, design, field deployment, supply chain, and third-party vendor activities.
• Track project budgets, revenue forecasts, margin performance, and scope management activities.
• Identify deployment, integration, and customer dependency risks and drive corrective actions.
• Manage site readiness, installation, commissioning, network integration, and operational compliance activities.
