Job summary

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Engineering, at least 5 years in manufacturing operations, and 2+ years of people management, with strong problem-solving and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in engineering with manufacturing focus or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing operations experience.
• At least 2 years in people-handling / supervision.
• Familiar with standard operating procedures and continuous improvement.
• Experience with lean/Six Sigma is a plus.
• Ability to lead across functions and maintain safety standards.
• Knowledge of production scheduling and takt time management.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Understanding of quality systems and defect containment.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages people through monitoring of attendance, behaviour, performance and ensuring resources are available in order to support operation's requirements.
• Attends to line issues, coordinates and collaborates with team across functions; escalates issues when necessary and communicates updates to the team.
• Conducts line audit to ensure compliance to standard operating procedure.
• Prepares reports and other communication materials pertaining to performance achievements and identify areas for improvement.
• Participates in projects to maintain competitiveness and ensures continuous improvement.
• Drives performance through effective coaching, counselling, mentoring and training.
• Responsible for the individual development of team members.
• Coaches team members on their performance; writes and delivers performance appraisal on a regular basis.
• Enforces discipline in compliance to company rules and regulations in order to promote Asurion core values and ensure that applicable rules and regulations are understood and implemented.
• Motivates team members through rewards and recognition of achievements.
