Job summary

SYMPHONY is seeking an experienced PHP developer in Mandaluyong, Philippines to design, implement, and maintain web applications. The role requires 5+ years in software development, strong PHP knowledge, and experience with MVC, Laravel, REST, OOP, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, VueJs, and Git.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet client needs and deliver robust solutions. Ideal candidates have a solid grasp of database design, cloud readiness (AWS), and the ability to translate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related area.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with PHP, MVC, REST, OOP, RDBMS, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, VueJs, CSS.
• Understanding of MVC design patterns.
• Experience with Laravel Framework and MySQL is a plus.
• Experience in data modeling and database design is preferred.
• Familiarity with Git and cloud technologies (AWS) is a plus.
• Knowledge of PHP synchronous behavior and workarounds.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and debug software systems under supervision.
• Develop applications per detailed specifications using specified languages and tools.
• Deliver unit-tested systems timely that meet functionality requirements.
• Troubleshoot technical problems and provide technical support.
• Research new developments in hardware and software and apply best practices.
• Work with team members to define specifications for system functionality.
• Participate in client meetings and understand business needs driving technology.
