Qualifications

• Proven supervisory or leadership experience in housekeeping operations within a hotel, resort or similar hospitality environment
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping standards, cleaning techniques, and best practices in the hospitality industry
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively
• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to motivate, train and manage staff professionally
• Proficiency in using housekeeping management systems and software, or demonstrated ability to learn quickly
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and presentation standards
• Physical fitness and capability to perform housekeeping tasks and walkthrough inspections regularly
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations relevant to housekeeping operations
• Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings and weekends as required by operational needs
• Previous experience in a resort or destination‑based hospitality setting is highly desirable
• Proficiency in English is essential; additional language skills are advantageous

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train and motivate housekeeping staff to ensure consistent adherence to cleaning and service standards across all guest rooms and public areas
• Inspect rooms, bathrooms, corridors and common areas to verify cleanliness and maintenance standards are met to company specifications
• Manage housekeeping schedules, assignments and workload distribution to ensure efficient daily operations
• Maintain comprehensive inventories of cleaning supplies, linens and equipment, and coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment
• Report maintenance issues and coordinate repairs with the maintenance department to resolve problems promptly
• Handle guest complaints related to housekeeping services with professionalism and work towards satisfactory resolutions
• Implement and enforce health, safety and hygiene protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and staff
• Collaborate with front office, guest services and other departments to support overall guest experience and operational objectives
• Maintain detailed records of housekeeping activities, staff performance and inventory levels
• Lead by example, demonstrating excellent work habits, professionalism and commitment to quality standards
