About the Company
The company is building a borderless workforce platform designed to prepare and connect global talent with emerging technology and AI-driven opportunities. Its product suite combines AI and human expertise across areas such as career coaching, recruiter tools, verified skills and badges, compliance automation, and mobile experiences. The platform is focused on making career transitions more accessible while helping startups and scale-ups hire verified, ready-to-work talent across borders.
Role Introduction
This is a high-impact design leadership role focused on shaping gamified learning and engagement experiences across a mobile product. The Lead Game Designer will own the vision, systems, and delivery of experiences that blend delight-first design with rigorous experimentation to improve learning completion, skill verification, and long-term engagement. The role brings together hands-on prototyping in Unity, tooling and simulation work in Python, systems design, and team leadership to create polished, measurable experiences for learners worldwide.
What You'll Do
- Define and own the design roadmap for gamified learning experiences, balancing player delight with measurable learning outcomes and product metrics such as completion and retention.
- Prototype gameplay loops, micro-interactions, and UX flows in Unity to validate mechanics and iterate quickly with design and engineering partners.
- Design progression, reward, badge, and economy systems that support skill verification and career outcomes, using qualitative and quantitative feedback to refine the experience.
- Build reproducible simulations and tooling in Python to support balancing, test design hypotheses, and scale experimentation.
- Run A/B tests and live-ops experiments, analyze results with cross-functional partners, and turn insights into prioritized design improvements.
- Lead and mentor a small team of designers, establish effective processes, review work, and foster a collaborative, user-first design culture.
- Work closely with product, engineering, data, and learning stakeholders to ship well-instrumented features with clear goals and measurable impact.
What You Bring
- 6+ years of professional game design experience, including meaningful work on mobile or casual products and a track record of shipped systems or prototypes.
- Strong hands-on Unity experience for rapid prototyping and iteration across gameplay, UI, and UX flows.
- Practical Python skills for building simulations, tooling, and supporting analysis and balancing work.
- Strong data literacy, including defining KPIs, designing and interpreting A/B tests, and using analytics to inform design decisions.
- Experience designing progression, reward, and economy systems with a focus on engagement, retention, and sustainable outcomes.
- Leadership and mentorship experience, with the ability to support other designers and lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a clear interest in designing experiences that help people learn and grow in their careers.
Nice to Have
- Experience with gamification or learning experience design focused on measurable learning outcomes.
- Background in HR technology, learning and development, or products related to upskilling, credentialing, or career transitions.
- Familiarity with analytics and experimentation platforms such as Amplitude, Firebase, or GameAnalytics, as well as SQL.
- Experience designing onboarding flows, micro-interactions, or accessibility-minded UI polish.
- Based in Spain or elsewhere in the EU to support overlap with core team hours.
If you're excited to combine playful design, systems thinking, and data-driven experimentation to create meaningful learning experiences, this is a compelling opportunity to make a real impact.
