Job summary

Fluor is hiring a senior Fire Protection Design Engineer to execute protection design/engineering during the design phase of projects, including producing PFDs/P&IDs, layouts, and fire protection drawings. You will guide junior staff, participate in complex design reviews, and implement change management within design phases.

The role emphasizes knowledge of PIPENet, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and 3D viewing tools, with preferred offshore/LNG project exposure.

Qualifications

• Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience in Fire Protection Design/Engineering.
• Offshore and LNG project experience is an advantage.
• Experience in Building Fire Protection and Fire Alarm System Engineering and Design is an advantage.
• Successful completion of major projects.

Responsibilities

• Execute Fire Protection design/engineering activities during the Design Phase of the project.
• Guide basic level HSE design personnel.
• Produce deliverables with minimal supervision of Senior engineer.
• Lead and participate in design reviews (ISD, Layout, P&ID, Model).
• Implement Management of Change in Design Phase and inherently safer design concepts.
