Job summary

Lingaro Group Philippines is seeking a talented Data Scientist/ML Engineer to develop forecasting and customer analytics solutions and collaborate with business stakeholders to translate problems into machine learning goals.

You will work on end-to-end classification and forecasting tasks, feature engineering, model evaluation, and deployment support, using Python, SQL, and standard ML libraries across Databricks, GCP or Azure. A passion for rigorous analytics is essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python and SQL with experience in DS/ML libraries.
• Solid knowledge of customer analytics concepts or advanced forecasting.
• Model hyperparameter tuning and validation frameworks.
• Experience transforming business requirements into technical plans and data processing pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Work on end-to-end classification and forecasting use cases: problem framing, data preparation, model development, evaluation and basic deployment support.
• Explore and clean data; perform EDA to understand data and flag data quality issues.
• Engineer features for tabular and time-series data.
• Train, validate, and tune standard ML models (e.g., logistic regression, tree-based models, gradient boosting, simple neural nets, classical time-series models).
• Collaborate with data engineers to bring models into production (batch scoring, APIs, dashboards).
• Document data sources, modeling assumptions, and experiment results in a reproducible way.
