Job summary

Slipstream IT, LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer – AWS Specialist to join our Cloud Services team remotely in the Philippines or India. The role focuses on AWS, Linux, Windows, and VMware expertise to deliver secure, scalable infrastructure for life sciences clients.

You will manage EC2, IAM, Route 53, WAF, and Kubernetes workloads, while aligning with CFR Part 11 and ITIL processes. The position offers remote work with global collaboration and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• AWS Solutions Architect – Associate certification is required.
• AWS Solutions Architect – Professional is preferred and the candidate must commit to obtain within 6 months if not held.
• Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) is preferred.
• 7+ years in AWS/Linux/Windows infrastructure support roles.
• 5+ years in VMware vSphere and hybrid storage environments.
• 2+ years in a GxP or regulated client environment.
• Familiarity with ITIL-aligned service workflows (incident, change, problem).
• Experience with AWS Console, CloudWatch, Route 53; GitHub for automation; Ansible or Puppet; ITGlue; ServiceNow; ConnectWise RMM; LogicMonitor; Syxsense.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day support and implementation of infrastructure services across AWS, Linux, and Windows environments.
• EC2 provisioning, IAM policy design, CloudWatch and CloudTrail setup.
• Route 53 DNS automation, WAF implementation and tuning for public workloads.
• Administer and harden Linux systems (RHEL/Debian/Ubuntu/Amazon Linux 2).
• Support containerized workloads and Kubernetes environments (EKs or self-hosted).
• Support hybrid virtualization and storage environments (VMware vSphere, SAN/NAS, NFS, S3 lifecycles).
• Implement and support RMM and patching workflows (ConnectWise RMM, Syxsense).
• Collaborate with life sciences clients and understand CFR Part 11; lead small projects or act as SME.
