Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled BI Analyst to develop, maintain, and enhance BI solutions including databases, data warehouses, SSRS, and PowerBI. You will troubleshoot complex BI systems and ensure accurate data analysis to support reporting needs.

The role requires 3+ years in BI analysis/development, strong SQL skills, and experience with ETL processes. Collaboration with multiple teams and adherence to change-management practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Business Management, Computer Science, or related majors.
• 3+ years experience in Business Intelligence Analysis/Development.
• Work experience in database and analytics programming, data warehousing with multiple databases or data sources.
• Can write basic SQL s, preferably in T-SQL language and understand complex queries.
• 2+ years hands-on with SQL Server Management Studio, BI Tools such as SSRS or PowerBI.
• Experience maintaining or enhancing BI reports such as SSRS and PowerBI.
• 1+ years experience in ing, ETL solutions using one of the following (SSIS, SQL Server, and Power Query)
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills; translate requirements into clean, efficient code.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Develop maintain and enhance Business Intelligence solutions including database systems, data warehouses, SQL server reporting services, Oracle business Intelligence tools and other BI systems as appropriate
• Problem solve and debug complex Business Intelligence systems, including database systems and Data Warehouse to allow defect analysis and fixing
• Conduct research and attend training for current and emerging business intelligence technologies in support of reporting needs
• Work within existing standards and procedures governing software development, change management, and documentation
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, training sessions and review professional publication
• Identifies customer needs through communication and probing.
• Creates solutions to customer problems. Provide sound recommendations to their queries. Provides resolution the first time.
• Assists customers in handling, servicing, follow‑up, communication, and closure of issues.
• Completes workload on time. Monitors if transactions are processed in a timely manner.
• Implements error‑proofing method to ensure all transactions done are accurately
• Participates in conferences calls, meetings, and discussions with customers.
• Adheres to shift schedules and attendance expectations to ensure consistent support to customers and a balanced workload for peers
• Coordinates with other teams/support to complete the request of customers.
• Monitors team service level and assists in workload distribution
• Conducts team/functional/business overview presentations during counterpart visits as required by team lead/supervisor.
• Assists colleagues in answering general escalations from customers
• Handles specialized queries from customers
• Records and submits periodic and/or quarterly transaction records, log sheets and/or trackers.
• Plans, executes, and manages own workload and projects in cooperation with line leaders.
• Assists in leading team meetings, huddles, and information cascades. Communicates with the team on best practices, lessons learned, process and product updates during team huddles/meetings
• Manages team common mailboxes and delegates tasks to colleagues
• Gathers data, analyses trend, generates and submits reports to line leaders with recommendations.
• Uses effective communication tools like flow charts, process flows, diagrams, etc. to effectively communicate products and processes, convey information, and respond to queries/requests coming from different levels.

Skills and Qualifications

• Work experience in database and analytics programming, data warehousing, preferably in an environment using multiple databases or data sources
• Can write basic SQL s, preferably in T‑SQL language and can understand complex queries.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience in the following technologies and demonstrated understanding of the following technologies: SQL Server Management Studio, Business Intelligence Tools such as SSRS or PowerBI
• Have experience in maintaining or enhancing Business Intelligence reports such as SSRS and PowerBI
• 1+ years experience in ing, ETL solutions using one of the following (SSIS, SQL Server, and Power Query)
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills that result in clear technical execution
• Skill at translating requirements into clean, efficient, and quality code
