Job summary

CodeRound is seeking a Lead Engineer to own architecture and drive AI-powered product development. You will lead scalable backend and AI systems, guide end-to-end delivery, and mentor engineers across design reviews and implementation.

You will stay ahead of AI/ML advances, shape infrastructure decisions, and partner with product and design teams to translate requirements into robust, production-grade solutions.

Qualifications

• Lead Engineer capable of AI/ML and LLM development.
• Experience leading architecture for AI-powered products.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and own end-to-end delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical architecture and engineering direction for key AI-powered products and platforms.
• Design and build scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend and AI systems.
• Lead the development of LLM/AI capabilities, from experimentation through production deployment.
• Drive technical decisions around architecture, infrastructure, APIs, data, models, and system reliability.
• Build production-grade AI systems with strong focus on quality, latency, scalability, cost, and reliability.
• Identify technical risks and proactively improve system architecture and engineering processes.
• Work closely with product, design, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, technical discussions, and hands-on guidance.
• Establish engineering best practices around testing, observability, deployment, security, and operational excellence.
• Own end-to-end delivery of complex technical initiatives and ensure high engineering standards.
• Stay current with advances in AI/ML, LLMs, agentic systems, and modern software engineering and identify opportunities to apply them to the product.
