Job description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join LCH Operations in the role of Manager, Regulatory Reporting, based in Manila. The Manager for Regulatory Reporting is responsible for leading the Regulatory Reporting team and ensuring the effective delivery of all regulatory reporting obligations. The role oversees daily reporting activities, management of matching and pairing exceptions, regulatory reporting controls, stakeholder engagement, change initiatives and continuous process improvements.

The successful candidate will serve as a key point of contact for regulators, counterparties, internal control functions, technology teams and senior management, ensuring regulatory reporting risks are proactively identified, managed and raised where necessary.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory reporting expertise and a risk-focused perspective to maintain compliance while supporting strategic business and regulatory change initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

We are looking for an experienced and driven Regulatory Reporting Manager to join our Operations team in Manila. This role offers an opportunity to lead regulatory reporting activities within a global clearing environment, supporting interested parties across multiple regions including London, Paris, New York, Sydney, and Singapore.

In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of regulatory reporting obligations, while maintaining a strong control framework and managing reporting risks. This function encompasses the monitoring of the LCH regulatory reporting which covers RepoClear, DigitalAssetClear, CDSClear and Treasury services. Conduct review of all the submissions, investigation of failures, correction of IT bugs.

Regulatory Reporting Oversight
  • Lead the end-to-end execution of regulatory reporting processes across applicable reporting regimes including EMIR, SFTR and other global reporting requirements.
  • Ensure regulatory submissions are completed accurately, completely and within required regulatory timelines.
  • Maintain oversight of reporting quality, completeness and timeliness across all supported asset classes.
  • Ensure adherence to internal Regulatory Reporting, Notifications and Disclosure policies and procedures.
  • Monitor key reporting metrics and performance indicators to identify trends, emerging risks and improvement opportunities.
Exception Management and Break Resolution
  • Oversee the investigation and resolution of matching, pairing and reconciliation breaks.
  • Ensure root causes are accurately identified, documented and tracked through to remediation.
  • Establish governance around recurring reporting issues and drive sustainable fixes.
  • Review and challenge exception management processes to ensure timely resolution.
  • Raise material reporting issues and risks to senior management where appropriate.
Leadership and People Management
  • Lead, develop and coach a team of regulatory reporting professionals.
  • Set clear objectives aligned with organizational priorities and regulatory requirements.
  • Cultivate a culture of accountability, collaboration, operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, career development discussions and succession planning activities.
  • Support talent development through training, mentoring and knowledge sharing initiatives.
Customer Management
  • Build strong relationships with Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Technology, Product, Change and Regulators.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for internal and external customers relating to regulatory reporting matters.
  • Engage with counterparties, trade repositories and regulatory authorities as required.
  • Present reporting performance, risks, control effectiveness and remediation activities to senior management forums.
Risk and Control Management
  • Maintain a strong control framework supporting regulatory reporting activities.
  • Ensure key controls are designed, documented, accomplished and evidenced effectively.
  • Support internal audits, regulatory reviews, control assurance reviews and external examinations.
  • Identify operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Drive a culture of proactive risk identification and ownership within the team.
Change and Transformation
  • Lead implementation of regulatory reporting enhancements, regulatory reforms and technology initiatives.
  • Partner with technology and project teams to define business requirements and support delivery.
  • Supervise user acceptance testing, defect management and implementation readiness activities.
  • Ensure regulatory reporting processes evolve to meet changing regulatory expectations and business requirements.
  • Promote automation and efficiency opportunities to improve operational resilience and scalability.
Governance and Reporting
  • Produce regular management information, operational dashboards and regulatory reporting metrics.
  • Provide substantial analysis and commentary on outstanding breaks, trends, root causes and risks.
  • Prepare materials for regulators and senior leadership meetings.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation and record retention standards are maintained.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Significant experience in regulatory reporting, post-trade operations, clearing operations, or regulatory compliance within financial services
  • Proven experience in handling regulatory reporting investigations, including matching, pairing, and exception resolution processes
  • Demonstrated people leadership and team management experience
  • Experience working with technology teams on regulatory change initiatives and system enhancements
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting regimes, including EMIR, SFTR, and trade repository requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to run complex reporting issues and root cause analysis
  • Experience in exception management, reconciliation, and break resolution processes
  • Familiarity with trade repository platforms such as DTCC, UnaVista (LSEG Post Trade Regulatory Reporting) or similar systems
  • Working knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau) is advantageous
