Job summary

Manila Memorial Park is seeking a Landscaping Architect to plan and design indoor and outdoor spaces for diverse projects, from interior plantings to full outdoor parks and nurseries. You will create CAD drawings and 3D visuals while considering environment, maintenance, and client needs.

Responsibilities include developing detailed landscape drawings, coordinating with architects and engineers, ensuring sustainable practices, and guiding projects from concept to delivery.

Qualifications

• BS in Landscape Architecture or related field and licensed Landscape Architect.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion/Enscape and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Familiarity with building codes and regulations.

• Prepare detailed landscape drawings, models, and presentations communicating design intent.

About the role

The Landscaping Architect is responsible for planning, designing, and developing indoor and outdoor spaces for projects, which include but are not limited to interior plants and full outdoor parks and maintain nurseries. They create visual representations using CAD software, and 3D visuals while considering environmental factors, maintenance, and collaborating with clients and other professionals to ensure the successful implementation of landscaping projects.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the design team to conceptualize and develop landscape designs for a variety of projects, including interior office and chapels, columbarium, and public spaces.
• Prepare detailed landscape drawings, models, and presentations that effectively communicate design intent and vision.
• Incorporate sustainable design practices, such as native planting, stormwater management, and habitat enhancement, into all landscape projects.
• Research and propose innovative solutions that improve ecological health and biodiversity in urban environments.
• Assist in managing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables in coordination with project managers.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of landscape designs into overall project plans.
• Conduct site assessments to evaluate environmental conditions, existing vegetation, and site constraints.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation, including planting plans, specifications, and maintenance guidelines.
• Engage with clients and community stakeholders to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into design processes.
• Facilitate workshops and presentations to promote awareness of sustainable landscape practices.

About you

• Graduate of BS in Landscape Architecture or related field; Licensed Landscape Architect
• Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and rendering tools such as Lumion, and Enscape and graphic design background using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop).
• Strong understanding of architectural principles, design concepts and construction methods.
• Familiarity with building codes and regulations.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Experienced in preparing drawing sets for high-end residential landscapes, including construction documents.
