Job summary

Qualifications

• Higher NITEC / Diploma / A-Level and above.
• Relevant experience in a clinical lab setting is preferred.
• On-the-job training and PPE will be provided.
• Good laboratory technical skills and knowledge of lab operations.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment independently and in a team.
• Able to prioritise tasks and manage multiple duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials for testing (saline, culture media, reagents, disinfectants).
• Wash and autoclave labware and materials per protocols.
• Move supplies to storage, pack and unload from cold room as required.
• Assist retrieving specimens or culture plates from the chiller and for verification.
• Receive and check stock items, tidy work areas and assist with spills.
• Maintain instruments to ensure proper functioning; attend to calls and enquiries.
• Support quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives in the section.
