Job summary

Aboitiz Foods is seeking a dedicated Laboratory Supervisor to lead our laboratory team in ensuring the highest standards for finished feeds and raw materials. You will champion laboratory safety, oversee analytical testing, and drive continuous improvement to achieve zero complaints and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field, a Registered Chemist license, and at least 3 years of hands-on laboratory management experience in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Agricultural Chemistry, or a related 4-year science course.
• Must be a Registered Chemist.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience in a chemical laboratory management.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment calibration and regulatory audits. Experience using SAP S/4HANA or previous ERP implementation is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership in a collaborative, fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee lab quality management systems and ensure compliance with 5S, GLP, ISMS, ISO standards and Philippine Chemistry Law RA 10657.
• Oversee analytical testing and log results, ensuring validated methods.
• Ensure safety and compliance in laboratory operations.
• Lead and develop a team of Laboratory Analysts/Specialists.
• Collaborate with Production, Procurement, Sales & Marketing, Nutritionists, and SHE teams to drive quality initiatives.

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Laboratory Supervisor to lead our laboratory team in ensuring the highest standards for our finished feeds and raw materials. You will champion laboratory safety, oversee analytical testing, and drive continuous improvement to achieve zero complaints, regulatory compliance, and operational cost-efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Laboratory Management: Oversee lab quality management systems, ensuring strict compliance with 5S, GLP, ISMS, ISO standards, and the Philippine Chemistry Law (RA 10657).
• Testing & Validation: Ensure all chemical evaluations and lab methods are reliable, validated, and accurately logged using systems like SAP S/4HANA.
• Safety & Compliance: Monitor the chemical hygiene plan, manage laboratory resources and equipment, and ensure a safe, organized, and compliant working environment.
• People Leadership: Guide, motivate, and develop a team of Laboratory Analysts / Specialists, managing periodic performance evaluations and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Production, Procurement, Sales & Marketing, Nutritionists, and SHE teams to resolve non-conformances and drive quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Agricultural Chemistry, or a related 4-year science course.
• License: Must be a Registered Chemist.
• Experience: At least 3 years of hands‑on experience in a chemical laboratory management.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with laboratory equipment calibration and regulatory audits. Experience using SAP S/4HANA or previous ERP implementation is highly preferred.
• Work Style: A strong leader comfortable in a collaborative, fast‑paced manufacturing environment, willing to work in a dynamic plant setting with occasional exposure to physical elements.

Additional Information

The role involves daily exposure to elements such as dust, fumes, and noise, as well as physical risks around mechanical and chemical hazards. It requires physical effort, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing or walking around the office and plant.
