Job summary

Qualifications

  • Licensed Chemist or Licensed Chemical Technician with valid PRC credentials.
  • Experience in laboratory operations is an advantage; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory testing of raw materials, finished products, and samples using NIR and wet chemistry.
  • Maintain accurate records, monitor equipment performance, and ensure GLP and safety compliance.
  • Verify analytical accuracy with internal QC and proficiency testing samples.
  • Prepare reagents, standardize procedures, and monitor expiry dates.
  • Enter results in designated systems and generate COAs for special samples.
  • Coordinate sample submission to accredited third-party laboratories and audit trails.

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Laboratory Analyst to join our Quality Assurance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory testing and analysis of raw materials, finished products, and special samples using NIR and wet chemistry methods. The role also involves maintaining laboratory records, monitoring equipment performance, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and segregate samples for analysis based on the quality control plan.
  • Perform wet chemistry, mycotoxin, and NIR analyses following approved laboratory procedures.
  • Verify analytical accuracy using internal quality control and proficiency testing samples.
  • Monitor analytical trends and report deviations to the Laboratory Supervisor.
  • Prepare reagents, conduct standardization, and monitor solution expiry dates.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation for traceability.
  • Conduct routine calibration and performance checks of laboratory equipment.
  • Enter and maintain laboratory test results in designated systems and templates.
  • Generate reports and certificates of analysis for special samples.
  • Perform inventory monitoring of chemicals, glassware, and laboratory consumables.
  • Monitor chemical expiry dates and facilitate proper disposal of expired materials.
  • Maintain records of equipment repairs, maintenance activities, and laboratory supplies.
  • Ensure laboratory cleanliness, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and safety compliance.
  • Monitor laboratory environmental conditions, including temperature and humidity.
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and elevate issues when required.
  • Support internal and external audits through accurate record management.
  • Coordinate sample submission to accredited third-party laboratories.
  • Perform inventory movements and related transactions within company systems.
  • Ensure proper work turnover and communication between shifts.
Qualifications
  • Licensed Chemist or Licensed Chemical Technician.
  • Experience in laboratory operations is an advantage; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
  • Willing to work on shifting schedules.
  • Possesses good moral character and a strong commitment to quality and safety standards.
Job Requirements
  • Willing to work shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays when required.
  • Must possess a valid PRC license and Certificate of Registration.
  • Must be a member of the Integrated Chemists of the Philippines (ICP)
