Job summary

SGS in Manila is seeking a Laboratory Coordinator with HPLC/GC/MS background to validate and report lab data. You will handle data processing, QC checks and LIMS entries in a fast-paced, ISO17025-compliant environment.

The role requires a chemistry degree and at least 1 year of chromatography experience; mass spectrometry knowledge is preferred. Hybrid onsite work may be required for 2–6 months across affiliates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree, Chemistry strongly preferred.
• At least 1 year experience with LC or GC chromatography.
• Mass spectrometry knowledge preferred.
• Lab testing with Food matrix preferred; Environmental samples an advantage.
• Experience with Chromalion/MassHunter/MultiQuant/Analyst software is a plus.
• Commitment to data quality and operational excellence.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented with ability to identify discrepancies.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Team player with ability to work in diverse environments; hybrid onsite 2–6 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs data processing, including laboratory data calculations and integrations, quality control checks, LIMS entries.
• Ensures lab deadlines are met and notifies supervisor if turnaround times cannot be met.
• Ensures testing methodology and quality control procedures follow ISO17025 and SGS standards.
• Keeps Affiliate Manager and GBS Supervisor informed of operational issues and training needs.
