About the Role

Ostrea Mineral Laboratory Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to join our Cebu Branch on a full-time basis. Based in Mandaue City, Cebu, you will play a crucial role in our laboratory operations, conducting analytical testing and quality assurance activities that support our mineral analysis services. This position is essential to maintaining the high standards of accuracy and reliability that our clients depend upon, and you will be integral to the success of our Cebu facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting routine laboratory analyses on mineral samples using established protocols and analytical equipment

• Preparing and processing samples for testing, ensuring proper documentation and chain of custody procedures

• Operating and maintaining laboratory instruments, including calibration and basic troubleshooting

• Recording, analyzing and reporting analytical results with precision and attention to detail

• Performing quality control checks and ensuring compliance with laboratory standards and safety regulations

• Maintaining accurate and organized laboratory records, notebooks and data management systems

• Collaborating with other team members to meet client deadlines and project requirements

• Assisting in the development and implementation of new testing methodologies and procedures

• Adhering to all health, safety and environmental regulations within the laboratory environment

What We're Looking For

• A relevant qualification in chemistry, materials science, geology, or a related scientific discipline

• Previous experience working in a laboratory environment, preferably in mineral analysis or analytical chemistry

• Strong proficiency in using laboratory equipment and analytical instruments

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
