Job summary

Myvan Holdings, Inc. in Consolacion, Cebu is seeking a Lab Technician to join Asia Concrete Solutions' quality assurance operations.

This is a full-time position that conducts tests, analyses and inspections to ensure products meet quality standards and regulatory specs. You will operate and maintain laboratory equipment, document results, and support development of new testing methods while adhering to health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Completed secondary education; technical qualification or certification in laboratory science is preferred.
• Proven laboratory experience in manufacturing or quality control.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in testing and data recording.
• Competency with laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Solid understanding of QA principles and SOPs.
• Good written and verbal communication to document findings.
• Ability to follow instructions and health and safety regulations.
• Reliable, punctual, with commitment to quality.
• Basic computer literacy; familiarity with LIMS is advantageous.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory tests, analyses and inspections on raw materials, work-in-progress and finished products.
• Collect, prepare and document samples in accordance with established standard operating procedures.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning correctly.
• Record and analyse test results, compiling data into reports and identifying any anomalies or deviations.
• Follow strict health and safety protocols within the laboratory environment.
• Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records and documentation.
• Identify and report any quality issues or non-conformances to supervisory staff.
• Assist in the development and validation of new testing procedures and methodologies.
• Support investigations into quality failures and contribute to corrective action plans.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment in the laboratory.

• Proven experience working in a laboratory environment, preferably within manufacturing or quality control

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in conducting tests and recording data

• Competency in using laboratory equipment and analytical instruments

• Solid understanding of quality assurance principles and standard operating procedures

• Good written and verbal communication skills to document findings and report results clearly

• Ability to follow instructions and adhere strictly to health and safety regulations
