Job summary

Essilor Shared Services Philippines Incorporated in Manila is seeking a Korean-speaking Finance & Accounting Specialist to join our Global Business Services organization. You will support finance operations for the Korean business and act as a key liaison between the local Korean team and GBS Manila.

The role covers accounting close activities, journal entries, reconciliations, and providing Korean-English translation and interpretation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Shared Services, BPO, or Global Business Services environment.
• Fluent in Korean and English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to translate and interpret business and finance-related communication accurately.
• Understanding of accounting principles and finance processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and global environment.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounting and finance processes in accordance with company policies and internal controls.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
• Participate in process improvement and standardization initiatives within GBS.
• Act as the primary communication bridge between the Korean local business team and GBS Manila.
• Translate business documents, finance reports, policies, procedures, emails, and presentations from Korean to English and vice versa.
• Provide interpretation support during meetings, training sessions, workshops, and business discussions.
• Ensure accurate and timely communication of business requirements, issues, and process changes between teams.
• Facilitate stakeholder discussions to support issue resolution and operational improvements.
