EMBLUJU INC. in Molito Alabang, Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Steward to keep our kitchen clean, safe and well-organised, supporting our chefs and cooks in delivering exceptional dining experiences.

This full-time role focuses on hygiene, equipment safety and efficient station management to ensure smooth food service operations and high kitchen standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a kitchen environment or as a Kitchen Steward in a hospitality setting.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to priorities tasks effectively.
• Physical fitness and stamina to handle demanding kitchen work, including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy items.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and respond well to changing priorities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Reliability and a professional attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen, including washing and sanitising all cookware, utensils, cutting boards and food preparation surfaces.
• Managing the dishwashing station and ensuring all dishes, glassware and cutlery are cleaned, dried and properly stored.
• Organising and maintaining storage areas, including dry goods storage, refrigeration units and freezers, ensuring proper inventory rotation and labeling.
• Assisting with food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping and trimming ingredients under the direction of kitchen staff.
• Removing and disposing of waste and food scraps in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Restocking kitchen supplies, utensils and cleaning materials as needed.
• Supporting the kitchen team by preparing mise en place and organising workstations for service.
• Adhering to all food safety and hygiene protocols to prevent cross-contamination and maintain health standards.
• Operating kitchen equipment safely, including commercial dishwashers and disposal units.
• Responding promptly to requests from kitchen staff and supporting service demands during busy periods.
