Cloudstaff is a remote-friendly tax firm building its US tax practice. You will join early to prepare first-pass client returns and build workpapers with our AI tooling, collaborating with a review team that handles tax judgment calls.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of U.S. tax preparation experience (1040, 1120S, 1065) and are detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working remotely across secure file sharing and client portals.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of U.S. tax preparation experience with forms 1040, 1120S, 1065.
• Interest in building a career in tax and learning reviewer-minded approaches.
• Able to work remotely and stay organized across secure platforms.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the first pass of individual and business returns (1040, 1120S, 1065).
• Build accurate, well-organized workpapers for reviewers.
• Track down missing documents to keep returns moving.
• Flag unclear items to the review team and keep systems current.
• Suggest workflow and tooling improvements to reduce bottlenecks.
• Work with AI-assisted workflow and tax software to assemble returns.
