Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd seeks a detail-oriented Junior Systems Engineer in Makati City for a hybrid role (4 days onsite, 1 day WFH). You will help build, maintain, and secure core IT infrastructure, working with Windows and Linux environments, NGINX/Tomcat, and modern tech stacks to ensure high availability and proactive security.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of hands-on system engineering or IT support experience, a relevant bachelor's degree, and strong problem-solving and communication

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of practical experience in a System Engineer or similar IT support role.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Solid working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems (CentOS/Ubuntu).
• Understanding of application servers such as NGINX and Tomcat.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with excellent communication and a team-player mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain complex IT systems and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather requirements and design customized solutions.
• Install and configure servers, networks, and related hardware and software.
• Perform system upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting as needed.

• Assist in resolving technical issues and providing timely client support.
