Job summary

Baker McKenzie is seeking a Junior Solutions Architect in Manila to help design and deliver secure, scalable enterprise applications across Microsoft platforms. You will work with senior architects and cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into practical solutions while expanding skills in Azure PaaS and AI tools.

You will contribute to architecture, design, and development, focusing on performance, security, and maintainability, and participate in Agile delivery and DevSecOps

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building enterprise apps with ASP.NET Core, Blazor, and React.
• Experience designing SQL Server databases, data models, queries, and data access layers.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 ecosystems (Teams, SharePoint Online, Graph APIs).
• Exposure to Azure DevOps, CI/CD and Agile/SCRUM processes.

Job description

The Junior Solutions Architect will contribute to the design and delivery of secure, scalable, and maintainable enterprise applications across modern Microsoft platforms. The role combines hands-on solution development with growing architecture responsibilities, using Microsoft ASP.NET Core (C#), Blazor, React (TypeScript), Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft 365 technologies. Working with senior architects, development teams, and business stakeholders, the Junior Solutions Architect will help translate business requirements into practical solution designs, support technical reviews, and deliver solutions aligned with enterprise standards and project objectives. The role also provides opportunities to build experience in Microsoft Azure PaaS, Generative AI solutions, and AI Agents.

Main responsibilities:

• Contribute to solution architecture, design, and development for enterprise applications under the guidance of senior architects and technical leaders.
• Design and develop modern applications using Microsoft ASP.NET Core (C#), Blazor, and React (TypeScript), with a focus on performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and usability.
• Design and develop Microsoft SQL Server databases, data models, queries, and data-access components that support application requirements.
• Design and integrate solutions within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, leveraging Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Graph APIs.
• Support DevSecOps practices using Azure DevOps and contribute to Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines.
• Participate in Agile and SCRUM delivery activities, including planning, estimation, daily collaboration, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Prepare and maintain solution design documentation, technical specifications, diagrams, and implementation guidance.
• Participate in design and code reviews, apply established architecture and development standards, and address technical feedback.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand goals, requirements, and constraints, and translate them into practical technical solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams, including infrastructure, security, enterprise architecture, quality assurance, and product or project teams, to achieve project goals.
• Continue building knowledge of Microsoft Azure PaaS, Generative AI, AI Agents, and emerging Microsoft technologies through project work, prototypes, and guided learning.

Skills and experience:

Must-have skills, qualifications, and experience:

• Hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using Microsoft ASP.NET Core (C#), Blazor, and React (TypeScript).
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server databases and data design, including data modelling, querying, and application data access.
• Experience designing and integrating solutions within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem using Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Graph APIs.
• Experience with DevSecOps practices using Azure DevOps and Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines.
• Experience working with Agile and SCRUM development methodologies.
• 2+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture and solutions development roles, covering architecture, design, and coding experience building enterprise applications using the skills outlined in this section.
• Successful completion of study in computer science or another comparable engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Working knowledge of software development architecture patterns, such as n-tier and microservices.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
• Conceptual and analytical thinking, with the ability to understand requirements, evaluate options, and contribute to practical solution designs.

Nice-to-have skills or familiarity:

• Experience or familiarity architecting and delivering cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure PaaS.
• Experience or familiarity designing and developing Generative AI solutions and AI Agents, including pro-code and no-code approaches, using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, and Azure AI Search.
• Microsoft certifications in development, architecture, cloud, or Generative AI are a plus.
