Job summary

ClearSource seeks a Junior Asset Quality Engineer – Solar to ensure residential solar assets meet NEC, local codes, OEM and company QA/QC standards. You will own day-to-day QA/QC reviews, assess designs and installations, and perform audits to maintain quality and SLAs while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in QA/QC or related tech roles, with solar exposure preferred, and a strong ability to interpret drawings and data in a remote-friendly, fast-paced

Qualifications

• 1-2 years QA/QC, construction, or related technical roles; solar experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, system designs, and performance data.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Effective communicator, able to collaborate across internal teams and external partners.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage priorities independently in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with NEC, UL, and IBC codes and standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day QA/QC reviews for residential solar assets to ensure compliance.
• Review designs and installations for NEC, local codes, OEM, and QA/QC standards.
• Perform quality audits on solar installations to verify design and code adherence.
• Manage project review queues to meet SLAs.
• Identify issues and collaborate with teams to resolve.
• Conduct root cause analysis and suggest corrective actions.
• Support QA/QC Manager to meet goals and drive process improvements.
• Stay updated on NEC, UL, IBC and related standards.
