Job summary

Rippedboxstation in the Philippines is seeking a Junior Security Analyst / Network Security Analyst to monitor SIEM dashboards, analyze security events, and support incident response within a 40 hours/week schedule. The role offers growth in a Security Operations Center environment.

You will collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams, perform alert triage, document findings, and help prepare security reports and compliance artifacts as part of a growing security program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS, or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in cybersecurity or security operations.
• Fundamental understanding of networking and information security.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls, routers and switches.
• Basic knowledge of SIEM concepts and security monitoring.
• Willingness to work under supervision in a SOC environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor SIEM dashboards and security monitoring tools for threats.
• Perform initial alert triage and escalate incidents to senior analysts.
• Analyze network security events, logs, and alerts from firewalls and IDS/IPS.
• Assist in vulnerability scanning and remediation validation.
• Document findings and maintain incident records for investigations.
• Prepare security reports, dashboards and compliance documentation.
• Respond to user security inquiries and promote cybersecurity awareness.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, cloud and application teams to resolve issues.
• Participate in routine security health checks and access reviews.
